The 2008 Interoperability Showcase will show how e-Health can deliver useful improvements to patient care quality and safety NOW!
The 2008 Interoperability Showcase will demonstrate that the electronic healthcare technology is already available and affordable!
Come and see how patient David Digger, injured in the Blue Sky Mine in Remotesville, receives initial local treatment and is airlifted to the Dingo Base Hospital. Servers are down, records lost, but is the e-Health system is resilient enough to maintain quality care for patient Dave?
The story heats up after Dave returns home to recover, but his arm suddenly becomes painful. Can he avoid poor treatment due to absence of records and images? Did the images on Dave's CD and the Specialist's practice systems pass the IHE tests or did the Orthopaedic specialist use the imaging CD as a drink coaster?
